Jon Vinikoor is aware that sticking to a new fitness routine can be hard, but it is possible. Change your perspective. Jon Vinikoor is aware that it can be difficult to not view exercise as a punishment when you are first starting, but it is important to think like an athlete. Jon Vinikoor recommends keeping your eyes on physical progress rather than viewing each workout as a separate occasion.

Set a goal. Jon Vinikoor notes that when his clients set goals, they are more likely to succeed. Goals will motivate you to continue even when you feel like giving up. If you want to start running, sign up for a race. Committing to a goal will hold you accountable and it will force you to set milestones during training.

Create a set schedule for working out. Jon Vinikoor believes it is important to have consistency with your workouts. If you have a set time during your day that you will engage in physical activity, you will be less likely to skip a day.

Have a variety. No one enjoys doing the SAME thing every day, so change your workouts up. Jon Vinikoor notes that having a variety will prevent you from getting burnt out.
